Linda Mora, Member

Current Term: 2009-2012

Mora is the Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction of Northside ISD.  Previously, Mora worked as the Director for Statewide Initiatives at the Education Service Center Region XIII, as the Associate Commissioner for Accountability and School Accreditation at the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and held administrative positions with Ben Bolt-Palito ISD, Corpus Christi ISD, Zapata ISD, and United ISD.  Mora has served on the State Advisory Committee for Communities in Schools and the State Agency Council to Governor's Commission for Women. She has worked with the Texas School Improvement Initiative at TEA, Phi Delta Kappa, and the ExCET Advisory Committee.  Mora has also been a member of the following boards: the United Way of Laredo, Citizen Advisory Committee, Laredo Junior College, Junior Achievement, Stop Child Abuse & Neglect, and the Education Committee at the Laredo Chamber of Commerce .  Mora earned a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University, Kingsville; a master's degree from Laredo State University; and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
